Allow yourself to be transported back in time to a Canadian Prisoner of War (POW) camp in the backcountry of Riding Mountain National Park (RMNP) located in south western Manitoba. Guided by Riding Mountain National Park interpreters and Friends of RMNP staff, you will ride in a horse-drawn wagon and experience a taste of what some young German soldiers who were captured on the battle lines in North Africa saw and felt when they were shipped to Canada’s rugged wilderness to await the end of the Second World War.
